MOCVIEW is a virtual communication platform that helps professionals create authentic video introductions (VPx), practice interview skills, and connect with opportunities. Our platform serves:
- Candidates - Professionals creating VPx and practicing interviews
- Evaluators - Subject matter experts providing feedback
- Recruiters - Talent acquisition professionals
- Employers - Organizations seeking talent

1. Information You Provide Directly

Professional Profile:
- Career interest (industry/field)
- Career level (student, entry, mid, senior)
- Current role and company
- Work experience (optional)
Briefcase Documents:
Resumes, certifications, portfolios, and other professional documents you choose to upload
Video Recordings:
- VPx (Virtual Proxiee) recordings (60-second video introductions)
- Practice interview recordings (on-demand and live sessions)
- Video responses to interview questions
Feedback and Communications:
- Evaluation feedback you provide or receive
- Messages sent through the platform
- Customer support communications
2. Information Collected Automatically
Device Information:
- Device type, model, and operating system
- Unique device identifiers
- Mobile network information
- IP address
Usage Information:

Camera and Microphone Access:
- When you record VPx or practice interviews, we access your device's camera and microphone with your permission

- We do NOT access your social media connections, posts, or messages

VPx Sharing:
When you share your VPx, we share it according to your chosen access level:

Evaluation Sharing:
When you request feedback, we share your recording and profile with evaluators you select.
2. With Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Services:
Infrastructure Providers:
- Supabase - Database and authentication
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Video storage and delivery
- CloudFront - Content delivery network
Communication Services:
- Resend - Transactional email delivery
- Daily.co - Live interview video sessions
- Firebase - Push notifications and analytics
Payment Processing:
- Stripe - Subscription billing and payments (Stripe has their own privacy policy)
Authentication:
- Google, Apple, LinkedIn - OAuth authentication (they process authentication according to their own privacy policies)
All service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

- Your account is permanently deleted
- Your VPx and recordings are deleted from our servers
- Your profile information is removed
- Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics
Retention exceptions:
- Data required by law may be retained
- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days
- Anonymized data used in aggregated statistics
4. Opt-Out of Marketing
You can opt-out of promotional emails:
- Click "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email
- Update email preferences in your account settings
- You will still receive transactional emails (receipts, password resets, etc.)
5. Manage Cookie Preferences

Data Retention

Active Accounts:

- VPx recordings: Retained according to your subscription tier limits
- Practice recordings: Retained according to your subscription tier limits
Inactive Accounts:
- If inactive for 2+ years, we may delete your account after notifying you
Deleted Accounts:
- Data deleted within 90 days of account deletion
- Backup copies deleted within 90 days
- Legal retention requirements may extend retention periods
Financial Records:
- Billing records retained for 7 years (tax/legal requirements)
Children's Privacy
MOCVIEW is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
If we learn we have collected information from a child under 16:
